Free Download: Codebreaker "Rivera On The Moon"

Codebreaker is the duo of Steven Hawley and Sage Schwarm. Proudly hailing from Milwaukee, WI, the two have created an imaginary planetary outpost on their new track "Rivera On The Moon." These moon intruders have hurled plenty of funk and groove into space to create a party that easily matches all the bling and sunshine of the real Rivera.
The group just released their new album "Exile" after a very successful year for them. Last summer, Hawley and Schwarm were nominated for the Diesel-U-Music prize, an international music prize sponsored by the hip Italian jeans brand. A fitting acknowledgement for the duo who find their inspiration in a combination of 80's funk, pop and contemporary production stylings. Hawley once summed it up nicely in an interview when he said, "I guess you could say Nile Rodgers is my Paul McCartney."
"Rivera On The Moon" is a good example of their sound. It is a pimpin' slice of electro-funk that is like a clash between Wham's "Club Tropicana" and The Power Station's "Some Like It Hot." And it has a big, fat beat that will even humble Timbaland. (Click here to purchase Codebreaker's new album "Exile" on CDBaby.)
